I've been stung by a jellyfish and all my family doesn't understand why I never want to go to the beach anymore. I'll swim all day in a pool but fuck that ocean shit.

I grew up in Florida and I was in the Pensacola when this happened and I've had plenty of bad experiences in the ocean and the gulf.

Gulf =/= Caribbean.
I've been to Grand Cayman several times; I've seen exactly one jellyfish. I went to Corpus Christi once, though, and the place was absolutely crawling with them.

Yeah I know, I just don't trust any natural bodies of water, too much garbage and I'm fine with the pool by the beach. Salt smell, wind, sound of waves, no risk of sharknado or being attacked with hypodermic needles or crabs making holes in your swimming trunks. Two of those things have happened to me before.
